We're here to help! TRADING POST for little folks is a Children's & Maternity Resale Boutique. My family and I started and operated the shop over 12 years ago. I have many years experience in retail and working with children. I was the Assistant Manager of the Gymboree store when it first came to Vermont. I have also taken care of many children in child care centers & preschools here in Vermont and in Colorado. I grew-up locally and graduated from the University of Vermont with degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish. My husband and I live locally with our two wonderful children.

About our resale boutique
TRADING POST for little folks offers excellent quality items at affordable prices, while remaining stylish and fun. Why pay more for new when you can save so much buying gently used items and at the same time help our environment by recycling! We really enjoy helping families save money. Our goal is to provide a clean, fresh-smelling, family-friendly atmosphere so when you enter you will discover a nicely organized array of items for you to choose from. Our Maternity section continues growing daily! Our Book Nook is full of many wonderful books, music & movies. We have books and other resources for parenting, Homeschooling, or just plain fun! We have a cozy dressing room for maternity moms and kids, as well as a restroom with a changing table for all your little one's needs. We're more than happy to call you when an item arrives that you are specifically looking for, just ask to be put on the wishlist. Also, for those folks who are involved with foster care, we do accept vouchers. We look forward to your visit, Michelle & family

ITEMS WE ARE LOOKING FOR......
The CPSC has granted a one year stay on a part of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA Act). This means that manufacturers & importers are NOT required to test and certify children's products for traces of lead for another year. However, the CPSIA Act did go into affect on Feb. 10th 2009. This means that children's products cannot be sold if they have more than 600 ppm(parts per million) in them. This includes, clothes, shoes, toys, books, and much more. I CANNOT afford to test items for lead so I'm now finding more guidelines to help identify the items that are "safe" or "unsafe" for children ages 12 and under, please refer to my Resale Policy for more details. We accept up to 20 items a week per family on Mon., Wed., & Fri's. If you have any of the larger items PLEASE call before you bring them in. *If you want to recycle the zipper bags that bedding comes in when you buy it new, I'm always needing them!
